Trip to coast
Cat, Rosemary and Pamela accompanied me to the beach house for a few days of fun. We walked, talked, laughed, ate and had a fab time. Here are some of the things we saw. The wild flowers and sand engraving were at Sunset Beach. The garden shop is in Ben Lomond, where Cat found this rustic looking ice chest her husband would like. The telephone pole closeup, the white lantana, and the bird were in Boulder Creek. The salmon dinner was on the wharf at Santa Cruz. The rose is in the back yard in La Selva. Our shadows were at Rio Del Mar beach. This was a great time of year to be at the beach. It was sunny and bright, very little wind, and not crowded at all. It was so warm at Capitola for breakfast yesterday that we could sit outside within a stones throw of the surf, and be warm. We were glad to see Zelda's had survived the flood just a few weeks ago. Because they are so close to the water, their doors are water tight. Some other shops in town were not so prepared and are still closed. On the way home we drove up the coast to Davenport, Pescadero for bread, and had tea in Half Moon Bay. My battery pack in camera gave out in Ben Lomond the day before, so I have to rely on my friends to share their photos with me. Later I will post some of them too.
