SICL art class

One of the students painted a portrait of Gloria painting. In the background is the painter. Doesn't Gloria look pleased?

Family fun

Last Saturday we moved stuff to the country retreat. It was raining hard all day, so at the end of it we just gathered in the living area of the 5th wheel, and thought about how much fun we can have there and how great it will be with the sun shining. Here are Matt and Christina and the kids - and somewhere there are two dogs trying to find warm spots to curl up.

Altered Book Delivered

Last evening was the concert in Pleasant Hill at Jill's house. Three of my grandchildren went with me so it made it even more special an evening.

For anyone interested in folk music at it's finest, you'd do well to buy Cds from both Dan and Anderson-Gram. Dan'l can be found at www.danmcilhenny.com. Gayle and Bob can be found at www.andersongram.com.

I gave Dan'l the Sanborn book and he and Val (his wife) were delighted with it. Here's a pic. It was a special moment all the way around. We don't all have the same talents, do we? Musicians and composers are so open and sharing of their talents. And for those of us into other art forms, it's fun to share what we do - particulaly with people we know who will appreciate it.

Chasin' Sanborn

My friend Dan'l McIlhenny wrote a song about a goat named Sanborn. It never fails to make me smile. His CD release party for Northern California is this Friday evening at Jill's house in Pleasant Hill. I altered a child's book to honor Dan and Sanborn, as a gift for Dan. (I'm a goat lover too.)
