Surprise!

The pic I posted in the last post turned out to win first place in the 3 dimensional division at the art show in Lodi. A blue ribbon and some cash too. The show is up until Aug 1st so if you are in Lodi and want to see it - that's where it is. I ended up having Tap plastic construct a sort of cover for it so little hands won't be messing with the innards. And since Alice came from a book, it now looks like a 3 dimensional book.

It turned out www.onderful!
Great that you got some recognition and some cash.

I had a bug last weekend on my computer, too. Hate that. I think the electric chair is an appropriate sentence for those who do the viruses and such stuff.
A zap for a zap.

Congratulations Janene! I've seen this piece up close and it is full of details, I LOVE IT! And I think your plexiglass idea was a good one...almost like looking "through the looking glass" :-)

Bravo!
I am always so happy to see your new creations! Your imagination inspires mine :-)

Hi Janene-I found you through the rcs creations blog. I love your artwork. It's fabulous. The photo of the dogs at the top--is that a cairn terrier? i have a cairn that looks just like that!

Janet, Cairn terrier is my best guess, although I was told by the shelter that she was something else entirely. Vet said they were wrong. So did Vet Tech. And everyone I know! Is your dog crazy? Lulu is. I talked to a man the other day who has another type of terrier looks much the same, a little heavier and much more calm disposition. He seemed to know a lot about terrier breeds and his description of her characteristics confirmed what I believe are Cairns. I need a Cairn intervention, so if you could email me at momzart101@yahoo.com, I'd like to know how you handle your dog and any tips you might share. My Lulu is totally unlike any other dog I've had before. Aside from totally psychotic episodes, she is the most adorable lovable funny little girl. Janene
