Health matters

My BFF Cat, whom I mostly still call Cathy from the old days, had a health episode - a minor stroke. One that landed her overnight in the hospital, transferred from her local hospital to one here in town. Fortunately her husband was home when it occurred and he realized immediately that she was in trouble and called 911. Help was there in the blink of an eye and they quickly transported her to the hospital less than a mile from their place. She is going to be fine, but has no memory of the paramedics or how she got to the hospital, or why she "awoke" there. She had barrages of tests once she got to the Stockton hospital, and they think she will be fine. No residual effects. In fact, she looks more relaxed and rested than I've seen her for a long time. She needs to cut back on her activities. This will be hard on her, as she is the going-est person I know. Volunteers for everything that comes along, and takes charge with gusto. Her goal now is to mellow out more, take life easier, stop being Mother Teresa to the world at large. Reigning her in is not going to be easy, but she is going to try. This was a big wake up call. It could have been so much worse. All those prayers her friends have been saying must have helped her. Thanks everyone. It is so good to have friends...... Picture is of Cat on the left and Gin on the right. She was taking care of Gin after a medical procedure just prior to this incident, and it was the first thing she wanted to know - who would take care of Gin. Both gals are doing fine. Rest and recuperation is in order for both. Only a week ago we were all at the beach. Things can change very unexpectedly and quickly.
