Altered Books - the no rules rule
Altered books is one of the most joyful ways to express yourself in your art. Because there are no rules, you have total freedom of expression. Play with it. Let it be fun. Don't take it too seriously. If it goes wrong, tear it out. Or throw it away. It's just paper. There is no right or wrong. Of course you can be as anal as you like with this and develop a strict formula and technique. But, for me, it's the freedom of this art form that keeps me interested and inspired.
